On October 26, 2026, a landmark conference titled “Priority: Technological Leadership” was held in Moscow.

As part of this major conference, a panel discussion titled “Technology Leaders: Who Brings Together Science, Business, and Manufacturing” featured presentations by Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia; Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation; Oksana Lut, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation; as well as top executives from Russia’s leading companies. More than 500 representatives from scientific and educational institutions, the business community, and the expert community attended the conference. The event was organized by Gazprombank’s Center for Technological Leadership.

Mr. Cai Jun, CEO of SinoPharmtech, spoke at this major government event. In his presentation, he highlighted the strong international cooperation between Russia and China and explained how Russian-Chinese collaboration is implementing cutting-edge technologies—from laboratory and institutional research and development to the launch of industrial production.

Cai Jun presented the company’s areas of focus, such as the supply of pharmaceutical and biotechnology equipment from China, technology transfer for biotechnology and agricultural production, and the implementation of T+EPC projects in Russia and the CIS. SinoPharmtech designs, equips, automates, and commissions turnkey facilities, trains personnel, and provides maintenance services. In addition, the company modernizes existing plants and coordinates CDMO projects with Russian research institutes and industrial companies.

A separate section of the presentation was devoted to the strategic partnership with the Chinese company Suzhou Womei Biology, which develops comprehensive solutions for biomanufacturing and collaborates with East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST). The company employs approximately 400 people, its facilities in China cover more than 30,000 m², and it allocates over 50 million yuan annually to research and development. According to Cai Jun, this collaboration brings together academic research, engineering solutions, and industrial needs, while also opening up new opportunities for exchanging expertise with Russian research institutes and enterprises.

During the panel discussion, Cai Jun also presented projects implemented jointly with Suzhou Womei and ECUST:

• Production of vaccines for pets in Moscow. The company is supporting the project from the laboratory stage through to industrial production. Pilot production is currently underway using an 800-liter bioreactor; for mass production, the capacity will increase to 3,000 liters. The facility also includes a purification system.
• Modernization of amino acid production in the Belgorod Region. The processes were modernized and automated; some technologies were transferred from China, and new fermentation formulations were optimized. Production capacity increased by 3%, from 83,000 to 85,000 metric tons per year.
• Technology transfer for the production of “Albumin” and “Immunoglobulin” blood products to the Republic of Belarus. The project included design, full-cycle equipment supply, and adaptation to Belarusian regulations. The plant’s production capacity reached 50 metric tons per year.
