The fermenter is designed and manufactured in full compliance with the proportions of pilot‑scale and large‑scale production fermenters, which simplifies the design and fabrication of the vessel during subsequent scale‑up. The stainless steel material provides excellent corrosion resistance, allowing the fermenter to maintain its working condition for a long time. The fermenter is fully designed and installed in accordance with GMP standards.

FEATURES

  • Full support for CIP and SIP functions, allowing in‑place cleaning of the vessel and associated piping;
  • Automatic sterilization of empty and filled vessels, as well as devices such as inlet air filter and exhaust gas filter, allows complete sterilization of the culture medium and ensures absolute sterility inside the vessel;
  • Online cleaning and sterilization of the sampling valve ensures that the sample accurately reflects the actual material status inside the vessel;
  • Cultivation temperature is automatically controlled by PID: heating via electric heating, cooling via chilled water circulation;
  • A real‑time weighing system displays the weight of the material inside the vessel;
  • pH is controlled by an intelligent automatic system with high precision. Automatic acid/alkali dosing, electrodes can be repeatedly sterilized, and the calibration function is fully adjusted by the system software;
  • DO (dissolved oxygen) is controlled by an intelligent PID automatic system with high accuracy and excellent stability;
  • The control system uses Siemens series PLC, suitable for various automation scenarios. Operation is via a touch screen with Chinese and English interface and menus;
  • Communication with a host computer is possible for data transfer, sampling, display of vessel and system data, as well as data analysis, viewing, reading and setting;
  • The software includes various commonly used fermentation strategies, such as DO‑stat, pH‑stat, exponential feeding strategy, constant feeding strategy, etc.;
  • The open interface OPC allows third‑party programs to read and write data. The data processing function can display and analyze trend curves of all parameters, save, display and analyze historical curves of all parameters, and generate batch reports for all parameters. All control parameters can serve as a reference for subsequent scale‑up, enabling users to quickly master all necessary control parameters for large‑scale production.
